Marshall Turkel, Customer Service

Life Before NMS: Marshall grew up in the heartland - Omaha, Nebraska - but he has lived in the Atlanta metro area since the late 1970's. He obtained a degree in accounting from the Business School at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Most of Marshall's background is in the food services industry; in addition to a tenure with Burger King, he was District Manager of Company Operations for Kentucky Fried Chicken. He also owned a convenience store and worked as a Route Sales Representative for a national snack company. Marshall has always enjoyed meeting people and especially enjoys the challenge of working with new customers.

Personal Statement: "An interesting aspect of my position with NMS is that one minute my success is based on 80% technical skills and 20% people skills - the next minute it's 20% technical skills and 80% people skills. My leadership skills help me understand problems and allow me to make key decisions; to get the job done, I have to wear a lot of different hats."

Off Duty: Marshall is happily married to love of his life, Hetty. In his spare time, he competes in marathons and is a personal trainer for aspiring marathon competitors. He and his wife enjoy listening to books on tape, gardening and growing house plants. They have two children, both college graduates.
